Ridgway Ins and Outs 2.0

Three in and out Jeep runs north of Highway 62 near Ridgway.  All three runs end at hiking trailheads, including Blue Lakes Hiking Trail.

There is nothing special about these three runs.  They are here if you have done all the well known ones in the area and are looking for something different.

We found it an enjoyable way to spend a slow easy day without traveling a long distance.

There is a GPS - gpx track file at the bottom of the page.

Dallas Creek West Fork is a graded County road except for the last mile or so in the Uncompaghre National Forest, where it is rated 2.0  It passes an interesting canyon on the way to ending at an opening called Box Factory Park.

Dallas Creek East Fork is a graded road all the way to a trailhead for the Blue Lakes Hiking Trail.  This road is more open and interesting than the West Fork.

The Miller Mesa spur starts in the town of Ridgway, traverses Miller Mesa and ends at a hiking trailhead in the Uncompaghre National Forest.  This is also a graded road except for the final 1.4 miles which is rated 2.0.  The 2.0 section has several mudholes and is likely impassible until it dries out in the spring.
