El Supremo 3.0

This trail has a nice slot canyon, great desert scenery and a slanted squeeze that can ding up a fender flare.

We did this trail in a counterclockwise direction, putting the slot canyon at the beginning of the trip.  The run can be done in either direction.

The trail is not terribly difficult so we have rated it 3.0; however, there is a slanted squeeze near the end with a possibility of body damage.

There is a GPS - gpx track file at the bottom of the page.

Slot canyon
The slot canyon is not very long, but is quite enjoyable.  Come out of the canyon and continue up the wash, then climb steeply up the left side and head out through the desert.

This entire area has lots of holes in the rocks.  This one looked especially nice to us.

You will spend the rest of the trip driving down into washes, climbing back out of washes and driving in washes.

There are quite a number of not-too-bad obstacles along the way.

Straddle this one
This slanted squeeze is treacherous - just look at my rear fender flare.  Two others came behind me and suffered progressively less damage as we learned the correct line and stacked more rocks.  If this slant makes you nervous, you can do the loop clockwise and this will be the first significant obstacle.  Evaluate ijt and decide if you want to go.

After doing the trail we talked to a member of the Havasu 4 Wheelers.  He told us it s easier to do it clockwise.  Less chance of damage.
