Last Dollar Road 2.0

Last Dollar Road is an enjoyable way to get from Telluride to Dallas Divide above Ridgway if you are not in a hurry.

Most of the road is wide and well graded, but there are a few miles in the middle of this Jeep trail that can be bumpy and a bit muddy if it has rained.  It can be very dusty when dry!

Million dollar view, million dollar cabins

The south end of the road close to Telluride has many high-end homes and cabins.  See the photo above.

This southern section has long stretches of open views, while the center is mostly through the trees.

Although the center section is mostly in the woods there are a couple of meadows and a few spots with nice views.

The countryside changes on the north end to open, rolling ranch land.  Roads are again wide and well graded.
