Left Hand Collet Canyon 2.0

This is an enjoyable canyon between Smoky Mountain Road and Hole In the Rock Road.  There is an ancient granary, interesting rock formations and dinosaur prints.

We ran this trail from the Smoky Mountain end but it can be done either way.

Drive close to a granary on the eastern end of the trail then drop down into Left Hand Collet Canyon.

This is a very enjoyable canyon.  There are high walls and strange rock formations.

We saw a group of calves with one adult.  Must have been bovine daycare while the mothers were grazing.

Follow the track to visit a dinosaur track site.  Find them on the top of the light gray sandstone formation.  Not your typical tracks.
