Little Finland GP

A plateau of red/orange Aztec sandstone has been heavily eroded into amazingly complex and intricate forms, over an area 2,000 feet by 400 feet.
Little Finland is a photographer's dream.  The rock formations are composed of red Aztec Sandstone with strangely-shaped, delicate rock formations. Many of the features are small erosional fins, hence the name FINland.

Access this formation from Gold Butte Backcountry Byway GP south of Whitney Pockets.  This is an easy and well signed road.

There is a GPS - gpx track file at the bottom of the page.
There is a parking spot at the end of this track where you can park and walk up the hill to the plateau that is Little Finland.  This is probably the approved way to access the area.

We did not know where we were going so accessed the area from the north end of the plateau by following someone that had been there before.  This avoided climbing the hill, but was not really any closer.  

We will simply show a few images without an extra verbiage.  Another person may shoot a completely different set of photos.
