Lost Canyon 2.5

This is an easy Jeep trail that will take you to alpine driving in open meadows, as well at to a scenic peak at 13,100' elevation.  The 2.5 rating only applies to the climb up to the peak - everything else is 2.0.

Stop and look at the gold dredge.  You will see it across the creek on your way up.

Nice view of Twin Lakes.  This view from the peak explains why they are called the "Rocky Mountains".  Marmots and ptarmigan are frequently seen at the top of the peak.
