North and Middle Fork Swan River 2.5

Combining the Jeep trails following the North Fork of the Swan River and the Middle Fork of the Swan River makes a nice loop of scenery and challenges. The trails provide access to many other trails as well.

Near Wise Cabin

The north leg of this loop has a short spur to Wise Mountain where there is a cabin stocked with supplies.  Views are spectacular in all directions.

We almost always see mountain goats on the northeast part of this loop.
