Roubideau Jeep Trail 2.5

​This is a 12 mile loop trail off Divide Road beginning 30 miles from Montrose.

We did this trail by following a fence line up the east leg to join the original Roubideau Jeep Trail.  We then followed the original trail northwest until intersecting a better road. We followed this better road south down the west leg back to Divide Road.

This trail is mostly a road through the woods with only occasional open areas.  There are only 2 - 3 spots that might reach a 2.5 difficulty rating.  Overall an easy trail.

Follow a fence line up the east side then turn onto the original Roubideau Jeep Trail.

The Jeep Trail has a couple open spots where you have a distant view.  Some of it is through a stand of small aspen.

The west side is a better road with occasional openings and extensive stands of mature aspen as shown in the opening photo.  There are infrequent stands of ponderosa pine.
