Spring Canyon Bottom 2.0

A fantastic Jeep trip that travels over a narrow shelf road cut into vertical cliffs, then descends into a beautiful, deep canyon leading to Green River.

There are a few miles across flat open country, but the trip along this shelf road and down into the canyon makes it worthwhile.

This is definitely is a shelf road, but it is a wide shelf road.  Perfectly safe if you are careful.

The road in is used heavily by the petroleum industry and is wide and fairly well graded.

The descent down into Spring Canyon is fantastic.

The road in the bottom of the canyon down to Green River is nothing to sneeze at.

This trail reaches Green River, turns left then dead ends after 3 miles.  It is a nice ride along the river, but do not feel you must go the entire distance - it all looks pretty much the same.

This is almost to where the road is closed.

There is a tippy spot next to a rock about 3/4 of a mile before the end that will be uncomfortable for some people.
