White Rim 2.0

White Rim is a stunningly beautiful Jeep trail!!!!  It gets you up close and personal with how "Canyonlands" National Park got its name.  Colorado River on the east leg, Green River on the west leg, Murphy Hogsback on the south, Musselman Arch, Washer Woman, Labyrinth Canyon, and the list goes on.
This trail is 91 miles from pavement to pavement, but can be done in a long day.  Many people camp overnight to break up the ride and drink in the beauty.  We made a round trip from Moab in 9 hours, but had to drive like mad to do it.  Most would want to take 11-12 hours, allowing a more reasonable pace and more frequent stops.

We recommend starting on the west side if you are doing the entire loop.  This saves the more interesting east side until the sun is at a better angle.  A shorter option is to do the east side, no farther than Monument Basin, then turn around and go back out.  This will show you the most dramatic features without the long ride.

I will not attempt to wax eloquent, but will let the photos tell you why to go.

A permit is needed.
