Paint Gap Road 2.0

Drive to the remains of an old ranch, then scramble down into a canyon to see ferns hanging from water seeps in the walls.
This is not a difficult road, but the half mile beyond the gap is quite rocky and bumpy for stock vehicles with high tire pressure.

There are campsites along the road.

In the wash below the ranch is a picturesque spring and green masses of ferns hanging from the canyon walls where water seeps out of the rock layers.

This unknown tree down in the canyon may have been from the original ranchers.  We were lucky to fine it in bloom before it leafed out.
